프랑스를 비롯해 세계적으로 테러가 발생하며 인류 공존과 평화를 위협하고 있습니다. 작가는 공존은 인종, 종교, 국가를 넘어 서로의 차이를 인정하고
소통할 때 이루어진다고 생각합니다. 이번 전시 조각 작품은 각국을 대표해 한국에서 외교 사절로 활동하는 14개국 대사 부인들과 대한적십자사 총재와
부총재가 자국어로 말한 <사랑> 목소리 음성파형을 바탕으로 제작되었습니다. 작가는 서로 언어도 다르고, 사랑 음성파형도 다르고, 생각하는 사랑의 컬러
(조각의 컬러임)도 서로 다르지만, 대한적십자에서 함께 봉사활동을 하며 서로 이해하고 공존하는 모습이 우리가 추구해야 할 아름다움이라고 보고 이를
형상화 했다고 합니다
There are growing concerns on terrorist attacks in Paris and throughout the world, which has been a threat to world peace. The artist claims we can live together harmoniously by interacting through understanding of the perspectives of people from different racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds. The sculptures displayed in this exhibition were created based on the sound waves of “love” spoken by the wives of 14 ambassadors working as diplomatic envoys and the president and vice president of Korean Red Cross in their own languages. Though they speak different languages and each produce distinct sound waves in saying the word “love” and come up with different colors when they hear the word “love”, the artist saw the scene of these people accepting the diversity among them and getting along well during the course of doing the volunteer service is what beauty we all ought to seek and this made him visualize and realize it in the form of art.
